First I created a simple background using Kuratake WaterColors. Then I stamped the Birthday Cake Layers with Tim Holtz distress inks and sprayed them with a little water using a mini mister and stamped them onto the water color paper. That's what gives it the wonky lines. If you were to stamp these images onto regular paper and not add the water, you would get a nice crisp line! But that wasn't what I was going for! I'm sure that you have seen this book in blogland since it came out this past summer. but I'm just now getting around to talking about it on mine. Sew Darn Cute by Jenny Ryan. "Don't claim to be an angel.I've done some things, but see, I would never violate a woman. Between the Parade of Homes, my kiddos getting out of school for the year, and everything else going on, the month of May has whizzed by so fast! So to get this fact off my mind, I'm going to launch right into my Frugal Round-up! First up, I wanted to share this happy spring mantel linked up by Stacy of Not Just a Housewife. Yellow and green always remind me of spring! Next, I loved this cute high chair makeover shared by Nalle's House. I had a Finn Family Moomintroll book as a kid. so the cute characters on the high chair are especially nostalgic for me. Love. A pretty white slipcover. I love a white slipcover. And I would probably leave the white slipcover on all year long. except for one thing. The hubby is spending his convalescence in the living room. It was the most convenient room for him in his not-able-to-get-around-without-a-walker state. Sock Peng 送了这包 Asam Laksa Paste, i can't wait to try it out, so went to buy thick 米粉 and a small can of sardines, as i have prawns inside fridge, so i use prawns, egg and sardines to make the 另类 Asam Laksa. Here's an exerpt but see the above page for the full story. I visited the stores where we keep the objects excavated from the site, to check they were in good condition. Objects from a site like this one often contain salts that could damage them, so I wasn’t surprised to observe that several objects had salt crystals on them, particularly the pottery and some stone sculpture. The artefacts retrieved at Amara West are subject to environmental conditions which include high humidity and salinity, the result of the site’s proximity to the Nile. Ceramic and stone buried in soil absorb the salts present in the deposits. Now starting on the neckband, to put off the sewing-up until tomorrow. Don't know if she'sfamous, but she looks like she should be. Love this eat-in kitchen - the chippendale chairs, the marble-topped table, the pendant lights, the painted floor. I sincerely hope Mr Ralph Lauren's PA has my correct address on file as I think this would be the perfect place for a Christmas lunch - I'll have to watch the post for my invitation. Although all of these dining rooms are different styles and sizes, they all look so inviting and each has a distinctive and individual look - love the chairs, candles, lights. everything really!.
Or almost. And it managed to end, not with the fears of New Age hysterics, but with the flip of a movie prop calendar page. Mexpatriate has a year-end tradition of looking back at the "best" posts of the year. The criteria for "best" vary each year. This year, the choices were easy. With one exception. Sometimes I feel like Billy Pilgrim. I have no delusions about learning the subtleties of Mexican culture. I know a little history. A little more politics. And a lot less Spanish. I get by. I now know that when I enter a store in Melaque, I will encounter a clerk who speaks only Spanish and will not be able to answer more than a few rudimentary questions about the merchandise offered in the store. For me, improvisation is limited to English. Sew We Quilt is kicking off another blog hop. This time it's "Bowls w/ Borders" using Regina Grewe's paper piecing paper. The Hostess for this hop is Carol. I decided to join in the fun even though paper piecing is not one of my favorite ways of piecing. Regina's pattern went together pretty easy and before you know it I had mine done and ready to post. Jayne Austin har fått kommet tilbake ner i jorden nå.
